This year, the Oakville Santa Claus Parade is Saturday, November 19, 2011. The fun begins at 9:00 a.m. so bring a toy for the needy and have a great celebration. The parade begins on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. in downtown Oakville at the corner of Lakeshore and Reynolds.

The weather forecast for Saturday looks like 10 degrees C and partly cloudy so bring a sweater.

The official date and time of the event is Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 9:00 a.m.

This year the Oakville Firefighters’ Toy Drive, and the Kinsmen Food Drive for the Salvation Army Jingle Bell Fund will begin before the parade. The Friends of Falgarwood participate each year selling Red Noses for charity. Donations accepted include unexpired canned goods and new, unwrapped toys which you can bring with you on the day of the parade.

How do I get information on the colouring contest? Who can enter? What is the winning prize?

Honourary Grand Marshall and winner of the colouring contest this year is Valeriy Fesenko.

Thanks to the many volunteers in and around Oakville who make the Santat Claus parade a success each year.

Many sections of the parade route are closed to traffic and parking is at a premium, so there is a free Santa Shuttle.

Viewing is good anywhere along the parade route which moves along Lakeshore Road and Kerr Street.

Come one come all – Ho ho hope you enjoy this year’s Santa Claus Parade.
