After only 30mm of rain all month of May, Oakville gets 30mm of rain in one day on June 1, 2012.
Oakville received 30mm of rain on semi-brown lawns to get the town green again. Downtown Toronto experienced flooding in the subway system resulting in the closure of part of the subway. Bronte Creek Provincial Park gets much needed water to keep the park lush and green.
Home in Oakville did not need to run sprinklers today with Mother Nature’s contribution of quite a bit of rain. Although high winds were forecast, it seems only a mild wind actually made it across Oakville. It is very wet though today, and a perfect day for indoor activities and even a bowl of soup!
Not to worry, the warmer weather will return in the next couple of days and June should have temperatures in the 20’s.
