Oakville Soccer Club Continues Without Jason De Vos

Posted by on May 10, 2012

Although it seems like we just posted that Jason De Vos had joined the Oakville Soccer Club as technical director, it seems he is now headed for a career in sports broadcasting and will be giving up his briefly held post.

Soccer Fields around Oakville Ontario used by OSCHopefully he was able to implement some of his visions for the club while holding tenure and that some of his good ideas can carry forward.

Jason already came to Oakville soccer with broadcasting experience as he served as a Major League Soccer (MLS) analyst for CBC Sports prior to joining the OSC in the fall of 2010.

Jason was appreciative of getting to see how soccer is trained from the ground up with hands on experience at the Oakville soccer facility.  He hopes to take the experience gained and use it for bettering soccer training and soccer programs for kids. “Because there’s a lot wrong with the way we develop players in our country. I firmly believe we can fix it if we work together collaboratively and get all stakeholders pulling in the same direction.”

He will leave in the beginning of June. No replacement has been named yet for the position.
