The annual Santa Claus Parade was successfully held in Oakville, Ontario Canada. Each year hundreds of individuals contribute their time and effort to put on a traditional parade complete with marching band and Christmas songs.
The streets of downtown Oakville were lined with merrymakers and the procession culminated with the appearance of St. Nick himself along with this year’s contest winner.
Downtown Oakville was closed off to vehicle traffic for the event on Saturday, November 19, 2011.
The fun continues for all volunteers and sponsors. on Thursday, December 1st at 7:00 pm at the
Operating Engineer Banquet Hall at 2245 Speers Road. There will be the annual “thank you” gathering. This is also our Awards Presentation evening and they
will be selecting the parade theme for next year’s Santa Claus Parade 2012 being held in downtown Oakville, Ontario.
