My Ribfest is on of Oakville’s summer events combining world famous ‘ribbers’, a variety of entertainment and music, a children’s village, artists and colourful craft displays. This year the ribfest is from June 22-24. 2012 with hours: Friday 4-11 pm, Saturday 10 am – 11 pm, Sunday 12 noon – 7 pm and it is located at Sheridan College in Oakville.
For ribs, ribs and more ribs (select from seven different ribbers) the cost is $22 per rack. The weather is perfect this weekend, not as hot as it was a few days ago. Kick back and listen to your favourite band play jazz, blues, folk, rock and even barber shop quartets.
This year the event is scheduled to attract about 30,000 visitors.
Plenty of parking is available including overflow lots and public shuttles and busses. The ribfest has started off great on Friday and today, all day Saturday it is open until 11. Food, drink, entertainment, all kinds of bands from rock to folk groups. There is a theatre group from Sheridan college performing on Saturday as well.
Ribfest offers folk, food, broadway tunes – something fabulous for everybody. This family event outdoors is great fun and the admission is free!
