October in Oakville – Thanksgiving 2013

October in Oakville
It’s fall in Oakville, Ontario and Thanksgiving is around the corner.  Most public schools have both the Friday and Thanksgiving Monday off.

There are many things to do and events around town to enjoy the long weekend.  The Fall and Nature Festival is on from Oct. 12-14 (at all seven Conservation Halton parks) and the special Halloween camping at the Bronte Creek provincial park campground is on again this year from Oct 18-29 and also 25-26.  Last year several campers strung orange lights across their coaches and made for a very festive campground.

Most of all, the upcoming Thanksgiving weekend allows us to spend quality time with family and friends and give thanks!

Have a great Thanksgiving weekend in Oakville and Happy October!
