Oakville Young Entrepreneurs Summer Company 2012

This summer, young entrepreneurs in Oakville are getting help from the Halton Region Small Business Centre and actually opening their own businesses by joining the Summer Company program funded by the province of Ontario.

There is really money to help young entrepreneurs strike out on their own and help our local economy grow.  8 participants were selected for this program and will be mentored by Liz Kush, Tom Cochran, Phil Von Massow and Nelia Taylor.

This year the Summer Companies involved in the program include:

  • Jestin Miller, Miller’s Maintenance, Burlington
  • Brendon Lisi, Surf Sandford Apparel
  • Ben Swallow, RealCurb Paint
  • Alida Carlin, Hometown Painting
  • Mitch Cook, Flyer Hustle
  • Malcolm Halley, MADRAD, Oakville
  • Sarah Hay, Little Fins, Oakville
  • Kate Cowan, K.C. Designs

The students that have created their own summer companies for 2012 include Jestin Miller of Miller’s Maintenance, Brendon Lisi of Surf Sandford,  Ben Swallow of RealCurb Paint,  Alida Carlin of Hometown Painting, Mitch Cook of Flyer Hustle, Malcolm Halley of MADRAD, Sarah Hay of Little Fins swim school, and Kate Cowan of K.C. Designs.
