Oakville Townhouse for 400k Snapped Up in Hours – Real Estate in Oakville Hot

Treetop Terrace townhouse for sale

No matter what the pundits say, Oakville is one of the most desirable places in Canada to live in, and real estate values continue to head higher with strong demand.

With snow on the ground on the last day of February, 2013 for example, a lovely townhome near Dorval was just put on the market. It is in immaculate condition and has been well cared for.  The price?  Just over 400k – very reasonable compared to homes just around the corner being listed at well over a million dollars.

Oakville Townhouse for sale around 400kAs this listing just went live, there were 8 appointments today to show the home with 1 offer pending.  This one went fast. On the day of the showings, we reported: If you happen to need a nice townhouse near one of Oakville’s finest kept parks and within blocks of Dundas/Upper Middle location,  check it out before it is gone!  Will report back in a few days with the final selling price.

One thing is for sure, this one will not be on the market more than a couple of days due to the combination of location, attractive price and condition.  Affordability in Oakville is harder to come by these days, but there are still these 400k gems available, and with interest rate near record lows, this is the type of deal that makes home ownership affordable.”

Turns out this unit and others like it are being snapped up within hours or days of listing. This very affordable price range in the 400s for a home in Oakville seems to have much more demand than supply.

UPDATE: 2:30 pm Friday, March 1
WOW 16 appoinments already to show this home and offer close-off time has been set for tomorrow, Saturday at 5 pm. as there are expected to be multiple offers.

No doubt this home has sold from being listed just 48 hours before.    We will bring you the next deal on a townhome in Glen Abbey as we get news of one.

Until then,  happy house hunting this spring!
