Oakville Ribfest is on again this year from June 20 – 22, 2014. Oakville’s largest (and only?) rib fest is held at Sheridan college.
The Oakville Family Ribfest is located at Sheridan College, Trafalgar Road Campus – 1430 Trafalgar Rd, Oakville, Ontario L6H 2L1
Hours:
Friday: 4pm-11pm
Saturday: 11am-11pm
Sunday: 11am-7pm
The mascot is Oakey and the ribs are “finger-lickin’ good”.
Each year the Rotary Club of Oakville sponsors the event and the admission is always FREE. There are no pets allowed as they would not leave any ribs for everyone else.
Bring cash though, because they don’t take credit cards. There are ATMs on site, but if you bring cash you will save the ATM fee.
There are not only delicious ribs to choose from, but also other bar-b-que including chicken and shrimp. Halal is on hand as well (or you can get your Halal fix at the Big Grill for lunch (Upper Middle Road and Third Line) and then make your way to the rib fest for supper.
