Oakville Public Library Hosts Kids Events

Posted by on November 12, 2011

The Oakville public library is not just a place to get books.  There are several events and activities hosted through the library for the Glen Abbey and Oakville community.  In the summer there were several children’s reading programs to attend.

Currently there is the Digikidz program.

If you have a collection of toy cars that want to come to life and you like working with play dough creating your own characters, the DigiKidz program through OPL may be right for you. In this program you will create your own animated movies using stop motion animation computer software.  You can add zany voice-overs to complete the project.

Ages: 7 Y – 9 Y     Cost: $12 / 1 class

White Oaks Branch   Saturday November 12, 2011  1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

Also you can get a library card if you don’t have one and this allows access not only to a large catelog of literature but also to special publications and databases in your field of interest.  Stop by your Oakville public library and get to know all they have to offer for kids.
