Oakville Jobs Ontario 2013 PositiveEmployment is on the rise in Halton region as Oakville and surrounding areas continue to experience positive growth ahead of the holidays. According to the Manpower Employment Outlook Survey, “Survey data reveals that 15 per cent of employers plan to hire for the upcoming quarter (January to March), while seven per cent anticipate cutbacks,” Erica Melarangeli of Manpower’s Burlington/Oakville office said in a press release.”  Notable is that about three quarters of current employers plan to maintain current staff levels.   Also noteworthy is that most of the jobs created are for full time jobs, so the statistic and the growth is indeed positive.

With the New Oakville Hospital construction well underway, even more jobs will be coming to the region in the near future. Other medium and large corporations that want to settle in Ontario are also eyeing Oakville as a positive place to do business from.

It seems the new jobs for 2013 are in the service industry, transportation, construction and public utilities as well as some manufacturing (durable goods), wholesale and retail trade jobs.  Decreases are reported in manufacturing non-durable goods sector.

Certainly medical related jobs will be on the rise as the new hospital opens in 2014.
