Family Day in Oakville

Posted by on February 19, 2014

Family dayAmong the minus temperatures, families took time out to celebrate Family Day in Oakville.  Schools and many businesses as well as government offices are closed on that day and it has been set aside for families to spend quality time together.

Oakville and surrounding areas hosted hundreds of activities including the Make Your Move where kids got their picture taken on a Zamboni and experiencing a hands-on exotic animals display.  Panera Bread Bakery Café hosted a cookie-decorating event benefitting Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children and the list goes on.

Did you spend some quality time with your family on Monday?

Also, Willie the groundhog did predict six more weeks of winter and this year seems to be the worst winter in the GTA in a very long time with mounds of snow still piled high in front of homes.  Today was a balmy minus 2 degrees, and the sun is starting to come out for spring.
