Reclaim Our Democratic Canada (RODC) was out in full force in downtown Oakville this past Saturday to protest a federal budget Bill C-38. Presentations were made and supportive literature was passed out on Lakeshore Road.
These type of events are good for educating the community on current events, because not everyone has time to read blogs 🙂 .
After several speakers took turns, changes were examined including a reform to Old Age Security where the age of eligibility would be raised from 65 to 67. This is freedom of speach at work and those that found these issues to be imporant enough to share their voice are part of what makes this country great.
Saturday is a great time for engaging fellow Oakvillians downtown and the event seemed to have gotten their message out.
