Burlington Restaurant Fire Sunday Morning – Animals Safe

A fire brok out at Apple Annie’s Kitchen in Burlington  early Sunday morning Nov. 27,l 2011. Adjacent is an animal hospital where several pets were located at the time. The swift reaction of the firefighters as well as the response of animal control officers were able to save all of the animals.

A quarter million dollars damage was estimated at the scene.  The fire was quickly contained to the office area and storage room.

Most of the damage was caused by smoke.   The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Damage is about $250,000 and pets at
an attached animal hospital safe after fire tore through the rear of a
Burlington restaurant fire early Sunday.

Firefighters and animal control officers moved the animals to safety as light smoke filled the hospital.
