The Bronte Creek area of northwest Oakville is becoming one of the hottest neighborhoods in Oakville. Part of the reason is the spectacular setting next to 2400 acres of the provincial park. Neighbors love the walking trails, wild life – including deer, planned parks and community spirit. Bronte Creek was formally the Richview Golf Course and is bordered by Bronte Road on the east, Dundas on the north and Upper Middle on the south (with the provincial park being the west border).
The area continues to grow, with new homes being built in the north west section. Palermo Public School opened last year, and a Catholic school is still in the plans. There are several play parks, splash pad and soccer park in the neighborhood. Bronte Creek is also close to the new Oakville Hospital, and is a popular area for doctors and medical personnel.
What makes any Oakville neighborhood great is the people. Many of the streets in Bronte Creek have street parties, fireworks and other community events. One party is coming up for residents of Liptay Avenue – with a box social on August 13th. There will be a potluck and educational seminar for kids – put on by the Oakville Fire Department. Plans are to make this a yearly event and grow it further.
If you aren’t familiar with this new Oakville neighborhood, you should give it a look – especially if you like to walk the trails.
